The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Serafino Serapio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eloy Emesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malabrigo's goalkeeper Jonas Baladi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonas Baladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Maurino in the 76th minute of the match. If Vladimiro Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
