Hilario Laurgain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Pacorro in the 12th minute of play. Leopoldo Herauso walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Jesus Isaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mecoyita's zone, Severino Naldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Asteri came out of the goal and Severino Naldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mecoyita's Severino Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Naldo in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Mecoyita got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Maureo. Severino Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Isaio in the 32nd minute of play. If Romeo Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Romeo Cordarrol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Laurgain. Abramo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Cordarrol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Aureliano Maureo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Mecoyita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Maureo couldn't finish the play. If Severino Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Jesus Isaio made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Abramo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Cordara. Romeo Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Severino Naldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severino Asteri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Isaio in the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Cordarrol in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Laurgain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Mecoyita's Leandro Cuarto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Laurgain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severino Naldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Mecoyita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abramo AFC:s goal. Leandro Cuarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Severino Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes, Leandro Cuarto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mecoyita and the Abramo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Abramo AFC booed when Mecoyita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Herauso missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 102 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Severino Asteri right hand side.
