Gilberto Grabiel's late challenge caught a International's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Grabiel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chilibroste's Gilberto Grabiel got a free kick in the 20th minute. Tomas Damario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Quirze in the 24th minute of play. If Denis Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Quirze in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Damario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Chilibroste's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Quirze came free, but Tomas Damario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tomas Damario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chilibroste's zone, Nicolas Frantzes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Damario came out of the goal and Nicolas Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Denis Quirze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. International's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Quirze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas Frantzes took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Damario. Tomas Damario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Chilibroste getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gilberto Grabiel hit a great ball. If Nicolas Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Enrique Christobal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Norberto Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Nicolas Frantzes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Damario was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aquilino Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A hard shot 88 in the game by Nicolas Frantzes from a close distance when the talented Tomas Damario managed to make a qualified save. Chilibroste's players were relieved. Norberto Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Enrique Christobal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chilibroste's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Christobal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Polentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conrado Hotz struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Norberto Polentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chilibroste. International's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
