He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dragones Tampico reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Dragones Tampico's zone, Epifanio Garikoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakkı Demircan came out of the goal and Epifanio Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernan Veto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Mino in the 38th minute of play. Astor Otsoko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, one of Norumbega:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Santo Mino walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 45th minute, Epifanio Garikoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norumbega fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Santo Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Veto was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Fernan Veto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Mino in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Dragones Tampico's Apolo Beltran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernan Veto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 64th minute, Dario Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Veto having to interfere. Norumbega's Fernan Veto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Mino in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Mino in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Veto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Santo Mino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernan Veto. Norumbega's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Mino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Epifanio Garikoitz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Apolo Beltran kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Dragones Tampico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
