Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stig-Ove Lundblad kicked off to start the match. The tension between the Chilibroste and the Kosteños players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kosteños booed when Chilibroste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Umbruso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Chayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Damario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Kosteños's Eugenio Chayo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Kosteños could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chilibroste throughout the match.
