Rareș Taşcău recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig-Ove Lundblad might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Polentzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Ove Lundblad ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Antoni Amorebieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kosteños's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoni Amorebieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Polentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norberto Polentzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Ove Lundblad went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 27 minutes, Stig-Ove Lundblad made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. International's Norberto Polentzi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Kosteños's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Quirze came free, but Oswaldo Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stig-Ove Lundblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Qerim Shala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto Polentzi was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 56th minute Eugenio Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Polentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kosteños's Thiago Alcántara got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of International booed when Kosteños was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Lundblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rareș Taşcău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Polentzi having to interfere. International's Norberto Polentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Lundblad in the 63rd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, International was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Jaume to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Stig-Ove Lundblad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qerim Shala in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Polentzi saved International from getting behind. Stig-Ove Lundblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Antoni Amorebieta notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of International's Norberto Polentzi. Norberto Polentzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute Stig-Ove Lundblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Polentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kosteños walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
