After 19 played minutes International got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Cambranes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Jatsu in the 23rd minute of play forced International's goalkeeper Norberto Polentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fanegas FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after International's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alejandro Jatsu took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Frantzes got free with Victorino Laurgain in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo Jaume hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Erich Gronow put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Norberto Polentzi. Fanegas FC's Victorino Laurgain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Fanegas FC from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Quirze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alejandro Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Norberto Polentzi made a huge save. Erich Gronow's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norberto Polentzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 54thth minute of the game Alejandro Jatsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but International's Norberto Polentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltasar Vigil's late challenge caught a Fanegas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Vigil helped the player get up and apologised. Fanegas FC made a substitution. Melquiades Iratzeder replaced Eloy Caton. Erasmo Cordera missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Norberto Polentzi right hand side. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind International's goalkeeper Norberto Polentzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciriaco Larra kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Arnoldo Bartoleme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Polentzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norberto Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Jatsu in the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Jatsu in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Polentzi saved International from getting behind. After a rather tough play, International's Ciriaco Larra got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 85th match minute, International was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Jaume to maneuver through the defense. When Erich Gronow came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Fanegas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erich Gronow couldn't finish the play. International's Norberto Polentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Jatsu in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Erich Gronow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fanegas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When the match was over Fanegas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than International throughout the match.
