In the 18th minute Denis Quirze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Demircan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justino Blasco kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Quirze in the 23rd minute of play forced Dragones Tampico's goalkeeper Hakkı Demircan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Polentzi having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santo Mino to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Dragones Tampico's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Quirze came free, but Hakkı Demircan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragones Tampico's Santo Mino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Quirze in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hakkı Demircan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hakkı Demircan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Frantzes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Gaspar Txilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Mino did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Norberto Polentzi 85 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Dragones Tampico got a freekick which was hit by Santo Mino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Txilar got free with Norberto Polentzi in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hakkı Demircan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
