Dragones Tampico's Hakkı Demircan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qerim Shala in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Thiago Alcántara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosteños's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Alcántara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eloy Pacorro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Dragones Tampico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kosteños's performance. The match ended with a win for Kosteños.
