Amancio Cambranes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cayetano Osorio came out and tried to block the shot, but Amancio Cambranes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 51st minute. 59 minutes into the game, Salto AFC's Feliciano Dimo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Osorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. A collision led to Salto AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. With his leg Cayetano Osorio managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Salto AFC's Amancio Cambranes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th minute, Salto AFC's Anacleto Duardo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anacleto Duardo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Salto AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anacleto Duardo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Salto AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chapulines CF:s goal. The referee gave Chapulines CF a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodolfo Belmiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salto AFC's Anibal Fix. 2-5. Anibal Fix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Vela in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Chapulines CF booed when Salto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Fix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Luzaide in the 98th minute of the match. Salto AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
