Diego Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Tender having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Ourente got free with Eusebiu Tender in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Anier Efraim made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Constancio. Chedraui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Anier Efraim made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Chedraui booed when Tigres UANL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Monte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernan Laffitte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Constancio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Froilan Monte charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Froilan Monte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tigres UANL's Froilan Monte got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 74 played minutes Tigres UANL got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Monte. Tigres UANL made a substitution. Samuel Etxahun replaced Anier Efraim. Froilan Monte hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fernan Laffitte hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Chedraui were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Tigres UANL to leave the ground with a draw.
