Bruno Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Constancio having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Godfredo Luzaide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Vela might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Constancio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Vela ran back to his position shaking his head. Cornelio Cordaro struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Cayetano Osorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chedraui. In the 13th minute, Dante Gregory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Ourente's late challenge caught a Chapulines CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Ourente helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Chedraui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Ourente to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Godfredo Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapulines CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Luzaide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Constancio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chedraui's Emanuel Gervaso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cayetano Osorio but with some difficulty. 41 minutes into the match, Chapulines CF's goalkeeper Cayetano Osorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Ourente. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chapulines CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Luzaide made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Godfredo Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapulines CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Luzaide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Constancio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57thth minute of the game Froilan Leocadio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chedraui's Gilberto Constancio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Chedraui's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Luzaide came free, but Gilberto Constancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Chapulines CF booed when Chedraui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Gervaso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Chedraui getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lucas Marz hit a great ball. Cayetano Osorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Cordaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Marz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Bruno Vela might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Constancio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Vela ran back to his position shaking his head. If Froilan Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilberto Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Luzaide, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Bruno Vela took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Constancio. Gilberto Constancio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Chedraui succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Chapulines CF had controlled the match.
