After a rather tough play, Elegant FC's Simon Stephen got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Elegant FC's zone, Lorenzo Nuno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Pabla came out of the goal and Lorenzo Nuno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Serafin Toro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Honorato Pabla. Mauro Ganix was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Elegant FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Capitalinos F.C's Hermengildo Galoer got control of the ball when Silverio Ekaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silverio Ekaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Galoer made a huge save. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Honorato Pabla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Toro in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
