Nathaniel Izzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Constancio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When VILLAREAL FC's Leon Constancio in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 25th minute, Leon Constancio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Kampdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wojciech Parajewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Dorado Acapulco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enzo Bastiaro in the 29th minute. If Amado Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Oleg Lapikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VILLAREAL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oleg Lapikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oleg Lapikov took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nathaniel Izzo. Nathaniel Izzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Constancio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, VILLAREAL FC's Oleg Lapikov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nathaniel Izzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. VILLAREAL FC's Ivan Kampdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wojciech Parajewski in the 58th minute of play. Nathaniel Izzo came out of the goal and Fernando Gustau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. VILLAREAL FC made a substitution. Witold Kordalewski replaced Julian Terciero. After 80 played minutes Real Dorado Acapulco got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Tabby. Nathaniel Izzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Constancio's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Hernán Cher charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Fernando Gustau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nathaniel Izzo. Real Dorado Acapulco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Gustau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Many of Real Dorado Acapulco's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Real Dorado Acapulco may have spent more time on the ball, but VILLAREAL FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
