Abelardo Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wojciech Parajewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Federigo having to interfere. Atletico Aztlan's Severino Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Umea in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Atletico Aztlan's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Umea came free, but Severino Federigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Terciero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Nathaniel Izzo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 34 minutes, Natalio Terciero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Aztlan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Terciero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Jose Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes, Real Dorado Acapulco's Enzo Bastiaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Federigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Dorado Acapulco reached it. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Umea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Federigo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Nathaniel Izzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Cordarin in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Atletico Aztlan were awarded a corner. Natalio Terciero went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Jose Bastian managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 55th minute, Vladimiro Rudolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Atletico Aztlan getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Natalio Terciero hit a great ball. Severino Federigo was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Wojciech Parajewski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wojciech Parajewski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Abelardo Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Federigo having to interfere. After 68 played minutes, Atletico Aztlan's Natalio Terciero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nathaniel Izzo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Aztlan reached it. Agustin Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nathaniel Izzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wojciech Parajewski struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Severino Federigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Dorado Acapulco. Nathaniel Izzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81stth minute of the game Natalio Terciero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Dorado Acapulco's Nathaniel Izzo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abelardo Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Federigo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Real Dorado Acapulco's zone, Natalio Terciero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathaniel Izzo came out of the goal and Natalio Terciero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Terciero in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nathaniel Izzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Carmelo Hitzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes Real Dorado Acapulco got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Umea. 96 minutes into the game, Atletico Aztlan's Natalio Terciero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nathaniel Izzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
