Atletico Aztlan's attentive Agustin Cordarin managed to snatch the ball when Nemesio Argina made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Terciero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Natalio Terciero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lisandro Urti. Malargüe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natalio Terciero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The supporters of Atletico Aztlan booed when Malargüe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Gau didn't get a good kick on the ball.
