In the 13th match minute, Los Chichicuilotes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Salvino to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes, Eulalio Manny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayacó FC and the Los Chichicuilotes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Chichicuilotes booed when Guayacó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Manny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Belo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Agustin Crescencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evelio Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guayacó FC's Eulalio Manny got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Eulalio Manny off the ground. After 24 played minutes Guayacó FC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Manny. In the 28th minute Evelio Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Hotz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Romulo Edur made a huge save. Marcial Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Los Chichicuilotes's zone, Herminio Hotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Edur came out of the goal and Herminio Hotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Feliciano Llorenc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Crescencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romulo Edur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcial Maura's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavio Belo to strike the kick off in the second half. Evelio Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Crescencio having to interfere. If Octavio Belo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Evelio Valente notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Guayacó FC's Agustin Crescencio. Agustin Crescencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 67 played minutes Los Chichicuilotes got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Odilon. In the 69th minute Octavio Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Crescencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Leoiar came free in the 72nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Romulo Edur, but to the joy of Los Chichicuilotes's supporters the ball went over. Marcial Maura took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romulo Edur. Romulo Edur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Los Chichicuilotes's Gerardo Odilon got a free kick in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Los Chichicuilotes's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Maura came free, but Romulo Edur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustin Crescencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Belo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Guayacó FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
