Carlos Lope was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Club Atlético de La Paz's Baldomero Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Hotz in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Guayacó FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cristian Dominic made the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Dominic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 85th minute, Cristian Dominic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Crescencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Dominic in the 87th minute of the match.
