In the 37th minute, Yatai's Amador Santos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amador Santos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yatai protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amador Santos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Yatai:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carapato FC:s goal. Fabricio Pinto placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The Yatai players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carapato FC were winning 0-1.

Lázaro Emeterio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Cipriano Ursino made a huge save. After having played for 54 minutes, Bruno Endira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yatai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Endira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bruno Endira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Dorio kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Lázaro Emeterio took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Ursino. If Bruno Endira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92ndth minute of the game Lázaro Emeterio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yatai's Cipriano Ursino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Yatai's zone, Lázaro Emeterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Ursino came out of the goal and Lázaro Emeterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carapato FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
