Faustino Urko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Belo in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tacoyoj FC's Godofredo Fernado got a free kick in the 25th minute. Prospero Belo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Faustino Urko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute of the match, Tobias Todor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isaias Bernat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st match minute, Cruz Azul œ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Firmin to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
