After a defensive mix-up in Chaves U21's zone, Zlatko Ibrahimović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Loi came out of the goal and Zlatko Ibrahimović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Desiderio Naelio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Skill-Park FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Naelio couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zlatko Ibrahimović to make the kick off. If Zlatko Ibrahimović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 82nd minute of play forced Chaves U21's goalkeeper Oscar Loi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Chaves U21's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Ibrahimović came free, but Oscar Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chaves U21's Raimundo Cidro got a free kick in the 87th minute. Desiderio Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Loi having to interfere.
