The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ermegildo Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Edgard Gomesano managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Chaves U21's Medero Aballe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute, Roque Pirmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Medero Aballe had several of the XOLOS FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Edgard Gomesano as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind XOLOS FC's goalkeeper Edgard Gomesano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Chaves U21's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Pirmin came free, but Oscar Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medero Aballe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Edgard Gomesano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Castel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XOLOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaves U21 the free kick. After a rather tough play, XOLOS FC's Ermegildo Castel got a free kick in the 38th minute. Edgard Gomesano was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Medero Aballe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Medero Aballe really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lluciano Puyol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Gomesano having to interfere. Edgard Gomesano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Aballe in the 56th minute of play. Edgard Gomesano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Medero Aballe's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. When Marcelino Estebano fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XOLOS FC's protests and gave Marcelino Estebano a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelino Estebano hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes, Cosme Ireno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XOLOS FC and the Chaves U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, XOLOS FC's Cosme Ireno got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes of play, Chaves U21's Medero Aballe made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Gomesano was left in no man's land by his defense there! XOLOS FC's Edgard Gomesano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medero Aballe in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Medero Aballe notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of XOLOS FC's Edgard Gomesano. Edgard Gomesano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81stth minute of the game Medero Aballe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XOLOS FC's Edgard Gomesano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Chaves U21's goalkeeper Oscar Loi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Noe. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Medero Aballe in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Gomesano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, XOLOS FC's Ermegildo Castel got a free kick in the 86th minute. Rosendo Noe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Oscar Loi made a huge save. In the 91st play minute Rosendo Noe came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oscar Loi. 4-1. In the 94th minute Medero Aballe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Gomesano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Gomesano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medero Aballe in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chaves U21 fans cheered their team off the field, for while XOLOS FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
