Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cornelio Ofelio started the match with the kick off. Guillermo Garin hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Placido Azubeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Du Zhen having to interfere. In the 11th minute Cornelio Ofelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Rameriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Du Zhen having to make a save. A hard shot by Edgard Aznar from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Du Zhen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Du Zhen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Rameriz in the 20th minute of play. When Marcelo Rameriz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Italia Resurrección fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Rameriz couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Cornelio Ofelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornelio Ofelio in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Du Zhen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matt Murdock's late challenge caught a Italia Resurrección's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matt Murdock helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, City Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Murdock to maneuver through the defense. Du Zhen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Azubeli in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Italia Resurrección booed when City Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Telmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Placido Azubeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italia Resurrección's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Azubeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Du Zhen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Italia Resurrección's Du Zhen threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Placido Azubeli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Guillermo Garin hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Du Zhen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Rameriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Ondino to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Placido Azubeli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italia Resurrección's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Azubeli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Italia Resurrección booed when City Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Telmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Italia Resurrección's Cornelio Ofelio got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind City Club's goalkeeper Du Zhen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Italia Resurrección's Marcelo Rameriz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Du Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Ofelio in the 62nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Edgard Aznar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but City Club's Du Zhen did a great save. In the 69th match minute, Italia Resurrección was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Marcelo Rameriz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italia Resurrección's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave City Club the free kick. In the 85th minute Placido Azubeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victor Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. City Club's Du Zhen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Rameriz in the 95th minute of play. The City Club players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Italia Resurrección from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
