Santos Belo's late challenge caught a Italia Resurrección's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santos Belo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Italia Resurrección booed when Puebla de la Franja F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Marcelo Rameriz made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Galtero. Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s zone, Marcelo Rameriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Galtero came out of the goal and Marcelo Rameriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Rameriz came free, but Flavio Galtero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Cornelio Ofelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Galtero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Belo was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s Santos Belo got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Cornelio Ofelio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Galtero. Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Ofelio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Placido Azubeli might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Galtero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Placido Azubeli ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquiles Firmin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Theodore in the 25th minute. In the 25th match minute, Italia Resurrección was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Enaut to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Ofelio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Galtero was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Rolando Theodore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Garin during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guillermo Garin hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Simon Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Firmin having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornelio Ofelio to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Italia Resurrección's Flavio Galtero threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelo Rameriz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cornelio Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Marcelo Rameriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italia Resurrección's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Rameriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Galtero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Rolando Theodore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Firmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Jakes charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santos Jakes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Puebla de la Franja F.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Santos Jakes hit a great ball. Marcelo Rameriz struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Flavio Galtero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italia Resurrección. Aquiles Firmin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santos Jakes went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Aquiles Firmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelio Ofelio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Flavio Galtero 83 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play Puebla de la Franja F.C.'s Dalmacio Jakue was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Puebla de la Franja F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dalmacio Jakue hit a great ball. Edgard Aznar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Galtero having to make a save. Italia Resurrección's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
