Venancio Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. During the 15th minute of the match Venancio Gombal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Venancio Gombal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Modesto Oihenarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Raulo's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Jorge Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Jorge Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jacinto Raulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Gorbea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vladimiro Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
