Attilio Ferrini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cañete AFC. In the 12th match minute, AMG Petronas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Rosen to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Libardo Cabrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Ferrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cañete AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Enrique Benino hit a great ball. Attilio Ferrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libardo Cabrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Geronimo Videl fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AMG Petronas FC's protests and gave Geronimo Videl a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AMG Petronas FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Geronimo Videl hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Adolfo Monzon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cañete AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, AMG Petronas FC's Olaf Michnik got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play, Cañete AFC's Adolfo Monzon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Attilio Ferrini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florian Rosen kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Adolfo Monzon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Attilio Ferrini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Gogo Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Noyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvano Odon was the one to do the kick off. Libardo Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Cañete AFC's Atilano Demesio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cañete AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
