Eustacio Aureo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Efrain Joanes having to make a save. Larroude's Efrain Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Lluciano in the 5th minute of play. If Horacio Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Ricardo Gartzen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larroude's Efrain Joanes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Efrain Joanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Llin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaias Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaias Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hernan Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Gartzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Joanes having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Danilo Firman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Larroude and the SMARTS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Larroude getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Danilo Firman hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Danilo Firman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaias Salvino scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernan Enekoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Gartzen to make the kick off. Honorio Salvator hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Eustacio Aureo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Jakue in the 57th minute of the match. Ricardo Gartzen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes SMARTS FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Lluciano. In the 68th match minute, SMARTS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes Larroude got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Salvino. Hector Bordat hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Larroude's zone, Eustacio Aureo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Joanes came out of the goal and Eustacio Aureo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Joanes was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Horacio Llin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horacio Llin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Honorio Salvator charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorio Salvator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SMARTS FC booed when Larroude was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Salvator didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Joanes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Denis Ostargi. The SMARTS FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SMARTS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
