Rodrigo Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Ugaitz having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Rodrigo Rojas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Rodrigo Rojas got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tobías Astorga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rodrigo Rojas came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Rojas couldn't finish the play. When Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Rodrigo Rojas in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Español's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 22 minutes, Rodrigo Rojas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Rojas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Restu in the 23rd minute of play forced Atletico Español's goalkeeper Armando Ugaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Rodrigo Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Ugaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Rojas took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Ugaitz. Armando Ugaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Albano Cristofor kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Carolo Bernat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladislao Haimar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Tobías Astorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Ugaitz having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Rojas made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Rojas in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Ugaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Flavio Etxatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Etxatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Atletico Español defense, Tobías Astorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Ugaitz. The Atletico Español fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Ugaitz should have stopped the shot. Timoteo Urre kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Rodrigo Rojas rounded Atletico Español's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Rodrigo Rojas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Ugaitz. That made the score 0-10 after 68 minutes of play. In the 71st match minute, Atletico Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Urre to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Español's zone, Rodrigo Rojas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Ugaitz came out of the goal and Rodrigo Rojas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Ugaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Restu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Restu in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Ugaitz saved Atletico Español from getting behind. Carolo Bernat kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Rodrigo Rojas had several of the Atletico Español's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-11 score and a disappointed Armando Ugaitz as he didn't even see the shot coming. 0-12 became the score in the 81st minute when Rodrigo Rojas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carolo Bernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Rojas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Armando Ugaitz. That made the score 0-13 in the 90 minute of play. Armando Ugaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Rojas in the 93rd minute of play. Freddy Restu got in the 95th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Armando Ugaitz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match was over Atlético Nuevo Laredo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Español throughout the match.
