When Tadeo Ignado came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Union Teporocha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Ignado couldn't finish the play. Mario Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Matias Hanni took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Mario Sanchez to make any attempt to save it. Zapotecos FC made a substitution. Orlando Beila replaced Zacarias Mede. After having played for 68 minutes, Tadeo Ignado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Teporocha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Ignado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Intxixu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Reyes having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Union Teporocha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Nastasio to maneuver through the defense. The Union Teporocha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zapotecos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
