Valentin Chago might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Bermudo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Chago ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of La Cantera Mexicana booed when Balsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Cantera Mexicana's Cornelio Bermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Asteri in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Maureo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Isidro Maureo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Alonzo Eyague shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes La Cantera Mexicana got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Remicio. Ricardo Remicio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Bermudo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Valentin Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Balsa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Remicio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Balsa FC's zone, Artemio Remicio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Bizi came out of the goal and Artemio Remicio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelio Bermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Asteri in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Balsa FC's Teodoro Salvino got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cornelio Bermudo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Asteri went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cornelio Bermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Remicio in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Orlando Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Ricardo Remicio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Bermudo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The wind increased when Orlando Asteri made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Balsa FC's Ricardo Remicio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Bermudo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the match, La Cantera Mexicana's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Asteri came free, but Cornelio Bermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Cantera Mexicana's Cornelio Bermudo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save La Cantera Mexicana from getting a goal against them. Orlando Asteri took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Bermudo. Cornelio Bermudo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Mateo Lazcano charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Lazcano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mateo Lazcano kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Domingo Abella got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mateo Lazcano. If Alonzo Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Asteri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cornelio Bermudo came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Asteri slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 85th minute. After 89 played minutes Balsa FC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Eyague. Ricardo Remicio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Cornelio Bermudo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Asteri in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Bermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Balsa FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
