The crowd rose to their feet as Bob Maurel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Octavio Paskal. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Maurel in the 72nd minute of play forced Central Normalista F. C.'s goalkeeper Octavio Paskal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varol Afak charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
