C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Octavio Paskal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Halcones de Mérida's Jairo Rufo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavio Paskal. Octavio Paskal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jairo Rufo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Rufo in the 53rd minute of play forced Central Normalista F. C.'s goalkeeper Octavio Paskal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Paskal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Etxatxu in the 55th minute of play. In the 88th minute Jairo Rufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Paskal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
