Varol Afak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Pepillo having to interfere. Donato Irrintzi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Deportivo de Coba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guadalajara were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Omar Lope made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guadalajara's zone, Florentino Dominix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Barreto came out of the goal and Florentino Dominix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Dino in the 86th minute of play forced Deportivo de Coba's goalkeeper Tomás Pepillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo de Coba's Domingo Teodor got a free kick in the 89th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guadalajara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
