Godofredo Chap was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the match, Jairo Rufo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Chap. Tordos de Huejutla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Rufo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Nastasio in the 18th minute of play forced Tordos de Huejutla's goalkeeper Godofredo Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godofredo Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Etxatxu in the 24th minute of the match. Jairo Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Chap having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Jairo Rufo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Tordos de Huejutla's Godofredo Chap. Godofredo Chap was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ceferino Abancens put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Godofredo Chap. After some careless play in the Tordos de Huejutla defense, Ceferino Abancens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Chap. The Tordos de Huejutla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Chap should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Rufo in the 40th minute of play forced Tordos de Huejutla's goalkeeper Godofredo Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godofredo Chap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Etxatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Halcones de Mérida booed when Tordos de Huejutla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Rufo was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Tordos de Huejutla's Godofredo Chap got control of the ball when Ceferino Abancens tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Rufo in the 63rd minute of play forced Tordos de Huejutla's goalkeeper Godofredo Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Nastasio got free with Godofredo Chap in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Halcones de Mérida booed when Tordos de Huejutla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Serafo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godofredo Chap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Nastasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute of the match, Jairo Rufo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Godofredo Chap saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 86th minute, Halcones de Mérida's Jairo Rufo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Godofredo Chap. Godofredo Chap yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Godofredo Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Rufo in the 90th minute of the match. Godofredo Chap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Abancens in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Halcones de Mérida left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tordos de Huejutla.
