Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lucas Igon took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Carranza's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Salvator came free, but Benicio Barea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Futbol Club Sonora's Arnoldo Abeita got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Tiburcio Mantzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carranza's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Mantzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franciszek Perkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Igon in the 13th minute of play forced Carranza's goalkeeper Benicio Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Americo Mikelar came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Carranza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Mikelar couldn't finish the play. Benicio Barea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Igon went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 23 played minutes Carranza got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Muñoz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiburcio Mantzio during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Carranza got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Mantzio. In the 30th minute Lucas Igon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Froilan Conrao notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Carranza's Benicio Barea. Benicio Barea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Futbol Club Sonora's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Leo Urtsua scored to the left of an out of position Franciszek Perkowski, making the score, 1-2. The Carranza players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Futbol Club Sonora were winning 1-2.

Futbol Club Sonora made a substitution. Aristides Berart replaced Enzo Theodore. Angelino Uhin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Barea having to interfere. Lucas Igon struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Benicio Barea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbol Club Sonora. After 58 played minutes Carranza got a freekick which was hit by Celso Txilar. The referee gave Futbol Club Sonora a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romeo Salvator, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carranza's Benicio Barea. 1-3. Marcos Cordarin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benicio Barea came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcos Cordarin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 66th minute. Benicio Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Carranza getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Leo Urtsua hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Americo Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Perkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Carranza's Americo Mikelar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franciszek Perkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 90th minute Marcos Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Benicio Barea throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marcos Cordarin in the 94thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Lucas Igon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Barea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Futbol Club Sonora left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carranza.
