Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) Zé Paulo Hermes made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Paulo Hermes got free with Herminio Eguen in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Zé Paulo Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Hermes couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, Norbert Zdanowicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rahuecó's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá the free kick. Herminio Eguen stood somewhat misplaced when Zé Paulo Hermes came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Rahuecó's Herminio Eguen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rahuecó from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá booed when Rahuecó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Marinetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Paulo Hermess short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Herminio Eguen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Celso Hartz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giorgos Remos went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute Donato Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Victor Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Zé Paulo Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's zone, Giorgos Remos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Hartz came out of the goal and Giorgos Remos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Shepherd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Eguen having to make a save. When FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Zé Paulo Hermes in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rahuecó's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Zé Paulo Hermes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rahuecó's Herminio Eguen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celso Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Zdanowicz in the 40th minute of the match. Zé Paulo Hermes took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herminio Eguen. Herminio Eguen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giorgos Remos to make the kick off. Norbert Zdanowicz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Celso Hartz came out and tried to block the shot, but Norbert Zdanowicz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 52nd minute. A collision led to FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gaston Benino hit a great ball. Herminio Eguen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celedonio Abajas went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Tomás Madaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Hartz stood somewhat misplaced when Norbert Zdanowicz came free in front of goal and shot 3-4 to the left of him in the 72 minute. In the 77th minute, Zé Paulo Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herminio Eguen was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. Norbert Zdanowicz got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 81 played minutes, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Ricardo Galeno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Herminio Eguen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá reached it. Herminio Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Celso Hartz made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Sebastian Sundberg sent off a good shot on target. Rahuecó were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Rodriguez took the corner. After taking down the ball on Rahuecó's corner Victor Rodriguez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Celso Hartz quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rahuecó eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
