An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Itzaina in the 10th minute of play forced Futbol Club Sonora's goalkeeper Franciszek Perkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Futbol Club Sonora's Franciszek Perkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Xabier in the 12th minute of play. Honorio Madaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ceferino Itzaina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franciszek Perkowski was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Honorio Madaleno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futbol Club Sonora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of TRITRI CA booed when Futbol Club Sonora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Salvator didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Hustaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franciszek Perkowski. Futbol Club Sonora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rigoberto Txeru was a little too slow when Honorio Madaleno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 32 played minutes TRITRI CA got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Herena. Rigoberto Txeru was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Marcos Cordarin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Cordarin really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Futbol Club Sonora! Ambrosio Hustaz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Dante Sidoro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Ceferino Itzaina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TRITRI CA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Futbol Club Sonora's Lucas Igon was substituted for Honorio Madaleno. A collision led to Futbol Club Sonora getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Romeo Salvator hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Norberto Herena made the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Conrao, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. TRITRI CA's Rigoberto Txeru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Salvator in the 55th minute of play. Franciszek Perkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Itzaina, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ceferino Itzaina was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. TRITRI CA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Dante Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind TRITRI CA's goalkeeper Rigoberto Txeru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julian Xabier hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Norberto Herena kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Rigoberto Txeru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Cordarin in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes, Paulino Otoniel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TRITRI CA and the Futbol Club Sonora players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulino Otoniel kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in TRITRI CA's zone, Marcos Cordarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Txeru came out of the goal and Marcos Cordarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Salvator took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rigoberto Txeru. Rigoberto Txeru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 84 minutes into the match, Marcos Cordarin notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of TRITRI CA's Rigoberto Txeru. Rigoberto Txeru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Sonora's goalkeeper Franciszek Perkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Herena. In the 88th minute TRITRI CA were awarded a corner. Ambrosio Hustaz went to the cornerflag to take it. Isaias Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franciszek Perkowski having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Futbol Club Sonora's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Itzaina came free, but Franciszek Perkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcos Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Futbol Club Sonora's Romeo Salvator got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Futbol Club Sonora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
