Freddy Evis was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Zdanowicz in the 33rd minute of play forced Gatitos del infierno's goalkeeper Segundo Gonza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Rahuecó were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Perez in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Eguen saved Rahuecó from getting behind. Segundo Gonza made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Giorgos Remos sent off a good shot on target. Gatitos del infierno's Segundo Gonza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tymoteusz Sikola in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Sundberg got free with Segundo Gonza in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gatitos del infierno's Segundo Gonza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Gatitos del infierno from getting a goal against them. Segundo Gonza was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Norbert Zdanowicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rahuecó's zone, Luis Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Eguen came out of the goal and Luis Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segundo Gonza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Sundberg in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rahuecó eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
