Goicó FC's Hilario Jon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Silvestre Obeko but with some difficulty. Benjamin Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Wilfredo Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Enetz in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Benjamin Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Emmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Jon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Gil in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Emmanuel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Goicó FC's Evaristo Amor got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvestre Obeko made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Christian Matro sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Salazar AFC's goalkeeper Silvestre Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Matro. If Christian Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Benjamin Gil fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salazar AFC's protests and gave Benjamin Gil a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Benjamin Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Handi hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Benjamin Gil made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Gil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Emmanuel was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Christian Matro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Obeko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience was convinced that Amancio Stanislao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Obeko was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
