In the 23rd minute, Royal Paladin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilfredo Emmanuel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Goicó FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Emmanuel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salvatore Schillaci. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Amor in the 32nd minute of play forced Gonz FC's goalkeeper David Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Evaristo Amor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Madureira was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Jorge Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Wilfredo Emmanuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Matro to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Matro got free with David Madureira in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 minutes, Jairo Handi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goicó FC and the Gonz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Harman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. David Madureira made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Christian Matro sent off a good shot on target. Christian Matro struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. David Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goicó FC. In the 73rdth minute of the game Salvatore Schillaci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goicó FC's Wilfredo Emmanuel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Gonz FC's David Madureira got control of the ball when Christian Matro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Salvatore Schillaci came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gonz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvatore Schillaci couldn't finish the play. Klement Huchro took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Emmanuel. Wilfredo Emmanuel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvatore Schillaci in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Emmanuel saved Goicó FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Klement Huchro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gonz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Klement Huchro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Emmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvatore Schillaci in the 93rd minute of play forced Goicó FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Emmanuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goicó FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gogo Baristo was slow to take the kick. During this time Gonz FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gonz FC's corner Gogo Baristo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilfredo Emmanuel quite easily take care of the ball. Gonz FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Goicó FC for a fine match.
