Tijuana futbol Crew's Anfilogino Gismondi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehran Ämrahov in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match AztecGold got a corner. Tijuana futbol Crew's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. AztecGold's Alex Camerlengo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anfilogino Gismondi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 38 minutes, Danilo Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tijuana futbol Crew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anfilogino Gismondi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehran Ämrahov in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, AztecGold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Kusko to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salim De Clercq was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Gaizkine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gunvald Barnholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehran Ämrahov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunvald Barnholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Gaizkine, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tijuana futbol Crew's Pablo Gaizkine got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Ruy's late challenge caught a AztecGold's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Ruy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Tijuana futbol Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Ruy to maneuver through the defense. AztecGold walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
