Carmelo Tiniebra took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Gaitan. Felipe Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 6thth minute of the game Carmelo Tiniebra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Teporochos's Felipe Gaitan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felipe Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Felipe Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Tiniebra in the 12th minute of the match. Felipe Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 16th minute of play. Felipe Gaitan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Tiniebra's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Union Teporochos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Fernando Pratto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Union Teporochos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Elvio Lauro hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Steve Rogers made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Gaitan. Union Teporochos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Fernando Pratto in the 28th minute of play forced Union Teporochos's goalkeeper Felipe Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Theobald charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Theobald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Union Teporochos's Ubaldo Theobald got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes, Santa Fe's Steve Rogers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Gaitan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santa Fe reached it. Union Teporochos's Felipe Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Tiniebra in the 32nd minute of play. Felipe Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Ramos in the 33rd minute of play. Juan Fernando Pratto took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Gaitan. Felipe Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 37 minutes into the match, Union Teporochos's goal looked a bit too open when Luis María Guadalupe came free, but Felipe Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, Santa Fe's Juan Fernando Pratto made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Gaitan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafael Ramos took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Gaitan. Felipe Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After the first half Santa Fe were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Rafael Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Tiniebra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Felipe Gaitan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 56 minutes into the match, Union Teporochos's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Rogers came free, but Felipe Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Fe's Luis María Guadalupe got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Union Teporochos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Luis María Guadalupe scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Gaitan, making the score, 0-8. Felipe Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Juan Fernando Pratto sent off a good shot on target. Union Teporochos's Felipe Gaitan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Union Teporochos from getting a goal against them. Albano Birjaio's late challenge caught a Santa Fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Birjaio helped the player get up and apologised. Albano Birjaio kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Carmelo Tiniebra made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Union Teporochos's Felipe Gaitan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santa Fe made a substitution. Romulo Lalla replaced Carmelo Tiniebra. Romulo Lalla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Felipe Gaitan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Santa Fe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Steve Rogers in the 73rd minute. Rafael Ramos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felipe Gaitan came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Union Teporochos's Felipe Gaitan got control of the ball when Romulo Lalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Rik got free with Felipe Gaitan in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Santa Fe's Sandro Coisne got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes Union Teporochos got a freekick which was hit by Albano Birjaio. Felipe Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis María Guadalupe in the 87th minute of the match. After 88 minutes Union Teporochos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Steve Rogers who took care of the corner kick. Martin Ladio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Felipe Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Romulo Lalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Gaitan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. 97 minutes into the match, Luis María Guadalupe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felipe Gaitan, 0-12. When the final whistle sounded Santa Fe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Union Teporochos.
