The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Águilas Poblanas's Alexandros Ismael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Estevez in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Beltran in the 12th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzo Maradona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Felo to maneuver through the defense. Alexandros Ismael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Võsandi in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute Edvard Võsandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Ismael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandros Ismael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Prejun in the 30th minute. Gonzo Maradona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aslan Allo in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes Les Tigres's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niklas Pedersson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Niklas Pedersson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gonzo Maradona quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alexandros Ismael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Venancio Prejun in the 37th minute. Eusebio Beltran kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Alexandros Ismael was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Severino Estevez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Severino Estevez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 45th minute, Niklas Pedersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Les Tigres's Enzo Vezin was substituted for Rodolfo Luken. Eusebio Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gonzo Maradona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Les Tigres made a substitution. Sermet Erva replaced Eray Toprak. Alexandros Ismael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvard Võsandi went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Águilas Poblanas's Ciro Matai was substituted for Iker Urti. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Victor Macias got a free kick in the 79th minute. Severino Estevezs shot in the 81st of the game seemed impossible, but Alexandros Ismael made a great throw and managed to grab the ball before it went below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute of the match Les Tigres got a corner. Águilas Poblanas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Estevez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Águilas Poblanas's goalie and right to Sermet Erva. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Águilas Poblanas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Ömer-Asaf Güneş came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Les Tigres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ömer-Asaf Güneş couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Águilas Poblanas defense, Edvard Võsandi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandros Ismael. The Águilas Poblanas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandros Ismael should have stopped the shot. Alexandros Ismael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer-Asaf Güneş in the 96th minute of the match. Many of Águilas Poblanas's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Águilas Poblanas may have spent more time on the ball, but Les Tigres were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
