If Ramon Uranga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Coreas might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deris Uranga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Coreas ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Roberto Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Coreas got free with Deris Uranga in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Magaña charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Magaña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Woodlesford getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ricardo Magaña hit a great ball. Roberto Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Costas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Plymouth's Raúl Ruiz got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Woodlesford's Waldir Campos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Plymouth's Roberto Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Costas in the 28th minute of play. Ricardo Coreas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deris Uranga having to interfere. Camilo Brizuela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Camilo Brizuela to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ricardo Coreas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A beautiful save bye Plymouth's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Alberto Costas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodlesford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Costas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camilo Brizuela in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deris Uranga saved Woodlesford from getting behind. After having played for 81 minutes, Raúl Ruiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plymouth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Ruiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ricardo Coreas came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Plymouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Coreas couldn't finish the play. Deris Uranga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Brizuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josue Paz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Plymouth's Ricardo Coreas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Deris Uranga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Plymouth had played much better football throughout.
