The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Villalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the game, Patricio Brizuela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Yasir Zepeda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Longwell Green's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Twyford AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Longwell Green's Patricio Brizuela got a free kick in the 55th minute. Daniel Cerna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Villalobos having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Twyford AFC's Julio Rivas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Patricio Brizuela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longwell Green's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Brizuela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yasir Zepeda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th match minute, Twyford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yasir Zepeda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. David Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Twyford AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Longwell Green.
