St Neots's Selvin Viscarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save St Neots from getting a goal against them. Ronald Uranga's late challenge caught a St Neots's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronald Uranga helped the player get up and apologised. Ronald Uranga kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, St Neots's William Barrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 40th minute Adolfo Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selvin Viscarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Selvin Viscarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Montes in the 41st minute of the match. William Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simion Juravschi having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, St Neots's goalkeeper Selvin Viscarra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Montes. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell William Barrera to make the kick off. Angel Rivas might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selvin Viscarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angel Rivas ran back to his position shaking his head. Selvin Viscarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Montes in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Barrera in the 57th minute of play forced Atletico Pinares's goalkeeper Simion Juravschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Atletico Pinares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Uranga to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Muñoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simion Juravschi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in St Neots's zone, Mariano Corrales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selvin Viscarra came out of the goal and Mariano Corrales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Atletico Pinares's Adolfo Montes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Selvin Viscarra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute, William Barrera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simion Juravschi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Atletico Pinares fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Atletico Pinares's Adolfo Montes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 77th minute, Pablo Contrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Del Cid hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Mariano Corrales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Pinares's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Corrales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selvin Viscarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Selvin Viscarra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Corrales went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
