Selvin Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Hidalgo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Julio Bran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fasters FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Bran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Hidalgo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Aguirrez in the 39th minute of play forced Batley's goalkeeper Christian Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Primitivo Amaya dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lorenzo Barreto, 1-1. Primitivo Amaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Barreto made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Navas to make the kick off. When the final whistle sounded Fasters FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Batley.
