Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) Topsham's Jaime Verdugo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Patricio Sigaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primitivo Amaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Nicolás Olmedo made a huge save. In the 11th match minute, Topsham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deris Santamaria to maneuver through the defense. Nicolás Olmedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primitivo Amaya in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes Topsham's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carmelo Barreto who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Batley getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hugo Talia hit a great ball. If Primitivo Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Batley booed when Topsham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deris Santamaria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Navas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolás Olmedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Guillermo Navas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Franklin Salamanca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Primitivo Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nicolás Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batley's Christian Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Salamanca in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Guillermo Navas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolás Olmedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Topsham's zone, Guillermo Navas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Olmedo came out of the goal and Guillermo Navas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolás Olmedo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Primitivo Amaya sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Primitivo Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás Olmedo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deris Santamaria during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Topsham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deris Santamaria to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Talia hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A hard shot 63 in the game by Franklin Salamanca from a close distance when the talented Christian Hidalgo managed to make a qualified save. Batley's players were relieved. Jaime Verdugo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Verdugo in the 67th minute of the match. Jaime Verdugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hidalgo having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match Patricio Sigaran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Hidalgo skillfully saved the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Topsham's Franklin Salamanca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Hidalgo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Primitivo Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nicolás Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolás Olmedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Navas in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Topsham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Sigaran to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Batley's goalkeeper Christian Hidalgo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklin Salamanca. A collision led to Batley getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Waldir Baptista hit a great ball. Marcelo Castro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Topsham's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Topsham's Franklin Salamanca got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Batley were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Topsham for a fine match.
