Eraldo Benavides might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dagoberto Mendoza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eraldo Benavides ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Benavides in the 11th minute of play forced Upwell City's goalkeeper Dagoberto Mendoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagoberto Mendoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Benavides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Salguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Prado in the 21st minute of play. Avilio Brizuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alejandro Salguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Edgar Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alejandro Salguero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Halesworth FC booed when Upwell City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Valenzuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Salguero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Prado was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Avilio Brizuela fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alejandro Salguero, passed just outside the right post. Dagoberto Mendoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Benavides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Halesworth FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ronald Guevara hit a great ball. Upwell City's Avilio Brizuela got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Halesworth FC's zone, Avilio Brizuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Salguero came out of the goal and Avilio Brizuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saul Erazo during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 91 minutes into the game, one of Upwell City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 92 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Melendez notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Upwell City's Dagoberto Mendoza. Dagoberto Mendoza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dagoberto Mendoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Benavides in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Upwell City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jhonnatan Rivera to maneuver through the defense.
