Newton on Ouse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Watlington's goal looked a bit too open when Selvin Zepeda came free, but Libardo Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Cetino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Cetino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Max Ruiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Cetino in the 57th minute of play. Fidel Cetino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Fidel Cetino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Ruiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Newton on Ouse's Alexis Pacheco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Libardo Bermudez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Misael Serrano during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Newton on Ouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Misael Serrano to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Newton on Ouse got a freekick which was hit by Zelvin Suarez. 95 minutes into the match, Newton on Ouse's Alexis Pacheco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Libardo Bermudez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Newton on Ouse supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newton on Ouse would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
